Oh for the love all things holy, my eyes are on fire!! I noticed last night after Army Wives my eyes were swollen and they were kinda itchy and I thought because I was crying some of my makeup got into them. I went to bed with my eye drops and then this morning...oh my!!
My eyes hurt like crazy and they itch like mad and I thought I was going to poke my eyes out so they wouldn't hurt anymore. It's crazy and then I'm carry for a little boy who's sick with a mild fever. It's been a rough day. I want to cry but I don't think my eyes could handle crying right now. I'm sure they would start burning and catch on fire. I don't want that right now.
We think the boy caught a bug from my daughter's friend birthday party last Thursday. The day in the life of me of never ending allergies and little running noses. Some relief would help!! Take care, Peace!!
PS: Yesterday's airshow rocked!! I'm half blind so I kept taking pictures of birds thinking they were airplanes. Don't ask!! F 18's rule. Flew right over our heads yesterday. That was so awesome!!

Life is a Balancing Act!!
For the last few months I've been doing something unconventional with my health. I stopped all prescription drugs. Some people would think I have lost my mind especially with all the medical problems I have listed on my plate. I didn't come to this decision lightly but I was getting tired of all the chemicals I was putting into my system.
I just found out recently one of the many drugs I was taking called Reglan for a digestive problem I have and it's not pleasant to know this could have happened to me the longer I took it and I don't know at this point if I have any of these side effects yet. Here's what I learned "Reglan: Gastrointestinal Drug May Cause Permanent, Involuntary Movements of the Face and Extremities Reglan, also called metoclopramide, is a drug commonly prescribed to treat gastrointestinal disorders such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), persistent heartburn, nausea, vomiting, and a feeling of stomach fullness. However, the drug has been shown to cause tardive dyskinesia, a permanent and severe condition which causes uncontrollable movement of the extremities and the face."
How nice and I took that drug off and on since 2003. I stopped taking it last year around this time. The reason I just decided to stop all prescription drugs because I was getting tired of the Medical Profession giving me more drugs. It seemed like their answer to everything so I decided to put my health into my own hands and go unconventional with natural vitamins. I have found the last few months my health has gotten better. I don't know long term but dealing with health issues for the last 4 years and I wasn't getting any better. Doctor's didn't have answers and I was getting tired of all the bullshit. I had to do something so I decided to do something for myself. It was the best choice for me and I'm not an advocate for anyone doing this. It's up to you to make the choices for you.
There are three drugs I put into my daily life and I believe they have helped me get my body back to more stable. They are Chromium, Selenium and a Blood Builder. I also take vitamins for my Vitamin D Deficiency and I drink a daily cup of soup for my blood pressure. I eat a balanced diet for my diabetes. Once I feel even more better I'll start adding more exercise to my lifestyle. It's a process and I have more hope I can get my life back to where it was before Children. I think Doctor's are great and Nurses are even better because I've worked with great medical professionals in my past but for me right now, I'm detoxing my body from chemical drugs right now and going natural. I could change my mind in the future and go back to drugs but right now, I'm happy with my progress and what counts....I feel better and I'm seeing results. Take care, Peace!!!

Yard Work is not my Friend!!
I really do NOT like doing yard work but it has to get done..okay, it really doesn't and we could let it grow a jungle in front of our house but I don't think our neighbours would appreciate that neither and we already get flyer's, business cards for landscaping businesses on our front door. I think they are telling us something. So for the last month or so I've been hacking away at our bushes and ripping out those nasty weeds and I gotta tell you I do not like it. I get scrapped, have so many bruises I lost count of them all. I'm itchy and my allergies are screaming at me and since I've been doing yard work I look like I've been crying for along time. My eyes are red and puffy and it's not making me feel so sexy. I like taking care of myself and when you feel not sexy it kinda ruins the quality of life if you know what I mean. I don't want that and I'm sure my hubby appreciates it when I feel sexy because he benefits from that.
It's been along day. The daughter had her gymnastics showcase this morning. I was trying to watch but I was dealing with a bored 3 year old. It wasn't pretty and what I could watch she was great. I was impressed with what she could do. At least, the hubby was video taping so I can watch later. Next week my daughter is done pre-school and the last of it is her dance show on the 26th. I'm happy we found this school for her and I'm impressed with their program and in the future we found her a dance school.
Well I'm going to go wallow in my self pity on this beautiful Saturday night with my hubby. Take care, Peace!!

Here we go again!!
Whenever Fall rolls around I just want to curl up in a bubble and hide. I'm so overwhelmed I'm considering going back to drinking....seriously I will not do this because I understand for one I'm a bad drunk but I've considered this deeply. I have a sick child, my eyes are hurting like crazy because my allergies hate fall and I need a break so I can sleep and just be a lazy bum for a few days. The hubby gets a week off in November and we were planning to go to Reno for our anniversary for 5 days but with our not so good money management we could go but then wouldn't enjoy ourselves to have a wonderful time so we decided not to go to Reno this year. I'm still crying about not going to Reno. I should get over myself but hey, I'm a drama queen and I understand where my daughter gets this from. Anyway, drama queen or not I was looking forward to Reno for an entire year and then bam, it's not happening so I'm being drama about it. Back to my allergies. I don't know what it is about fall that turn my eyes and skin into an itchy pain fest. Maybe it's because it getting colder and I close the windows and turn on the heat. Whatever is the reason I just want to curl up and cry. My eyes right now are two shades of red and it looks like I've been crying for days. My skin feels like a Brillo pad and I think I scratched off the first layer of my skin. I'm not a pretty sight at the moment. The hubby says I still look sexy but sometimes I wonder what he's smoking because I would love some of that right now. Take care, Peace!!!
